Custom Dashboards & Business Intelligence

One trusted view of the business, built from your ERP, CRM, spreadsheets and APIs. Fast to load, reconciled against source, and secured by role.

What does Co-Mate's dashboards and BI service deliver?

Co-Mate builds management dashboards and business intelligence that combine data from your ERP, CRM, spreadsheets and APIs into numbers leaders trust. We define each KPI with its owner, build a fast reporting layer separate from your live systems, reconcile figures against the source, and deliver dashboards in Power BI, Looker or a custom web app.

Dashboards and BI are part of Co-Mate's digital transformation services. We start from the decisions you need to make and work back to the data, not the other way round.

Who this is for

Who are custom dashboards for?

Leadership teams that make decisions on numbers assembled by hand, or that no longer trust the figures their systems produce.

Typical buyers

  • CEOs, COOs and CFOs who need one view of the business
  • Finance controllers preparing monthly management packs
  • Heads of sales and operations tracking branch or region performance
  • Product leaders adding analytics for their own customers

Signs you need it

  • Weekly and month-end reports are built by hand in Excel from several exports.
  • Two departments report different figures for the same KPI.
  • Reports against the live system are so slow they are run overnight.
  • Numbers no longer reconcile after a system migration.
  • Customers ask for reports you have to prepare manually.

What we build

What do we build?

From the data pipeline to the screen, so the dashboard is fast and the numbers behind it are right.

ComponentWhat it delivers
Management dashboardsA single view of revenue, margin, cash, pipeline, operations and people KPIs, with drill-down to branch and transaction.
KPI definitionsA written, agreed definition for every metric, so finance, sales and operations mean the same thing.
Data pipelinesScheduled or near-real-time extraction from ERP, CRM, spreadsheets and APIs into a reporting database.
Reporting layerPre-aggregated tables that make dashboards load in seconds without touching the live system.
Embedded analyticsDashboards inside your product or customer portal, with each customer seeing only their data.
Reconciliation & data qualityAutomated checks that compare dashboard figures to source totals and flag differences.
Alerts & scheduled reportsThreshold alerts and scheduled PDF or email reports to the right people.

Why is legacy reporting so slow, and how do you fix it?

Legacy reporting is usually slow because reports query the live transactional database directly, or because a large nightly ETL job reloads everything from scratch. Both get worse as data grows.

We fix it by separating reporting from operations. Data is copied incrementally into a reporting store designed for analysis, with pre-calculated totals for the views managers use most. Dashboards then read from that store in seconds, and your ERP or CRM runs at full speed for the people working in it.

How do you keep numbers accurate after a migration?

By reconciling every key figure against its source before anyone relies on it, and checking automatically after that. Migrations are where reporting trust is most often lost: a changed customer code, a currency rounding rule or a missing period can quietly shift totals.

  • Record counts, balances and totals are compared between old system, new system and dashboard for each period.
  • Differences are traced to their cause and either corrected or documented and signed off by finance.
  • Automated checks keep running after go-live and alert the data owner if a figure drifts.

This approach comes from our legacy software modernization work, where zero-loss data migration is a requirement, not a goal.

How does an engagement work?

Five phases, each with a clear output you can review before the next one starts.

  1. 1

    Discovery

We list the decisions leaders make, the KPIs behind them, and every source those numbers come from.

  2. 2

    Architecture & scope

You get KPI definitions, source-to-dashboard data flow, refresh strategy, security model and dashboard wireframes.

  3. 3

    Build in milestones

Pipelines and dashboards are delivered in milestones, each reconciled against source systems before sign-off.

  4. 4

    Launch

Rollout with short training for each audience, and a reconciliation report for finance.

  5. 5

    Support & scale

New sources, KPIs and dashboards, data-quality monitoring and pipeline maintenance.

Which engagement model fits?

There are three ways to work with Co-Mate; the right one depends on how settled your scope is and how long the system will keep evolving.

ModelBest forHow it works
Fixed-scope projectA defined first version or a specific integration with clear requirements. We agree modules, milestones and acceptance criteria up front, then deliver against them. Changes are scoped and agreed before work starts.
Dedicated engineering teamLarger programmes, evolving roadmaps or several systems built in parallel.Senior engineers work as an extension of your team on your priorities, with sprint planning, demos and shared tooling.
Ongoing retainer / supportSystems already live that need maintenance, monitoring, hosting support and steady improvements.A reserved block of engineering time each month, with agreed response times for issues and a backlog of improvements.

A first set of management dashboards is a natural fixed-scope project. BI tends to grow as more teams ask questions, so many clients follow with a retainer; product companies embedding analytics often prefer a dedicated team.

Which data sources do we connect?

Most dashboards combine three or more sources. Where systems need to exchange data operationally as well, see system integration.

  • Power BI
  • Looker / Looker Studio
  • Odoo
  • SAP Business One
  • Microsoft Dynamics
  • NetSuite
  • Tally
  • QuickBooks
  • Xero
  • Zoho
  • Salesforce
  • HubSpot
  • Excel and Google Sheets
  • Shopify and WooCommerce
  • SQL databases and REST APIs

Product names are used only to describe compatibility. They belong to their owners; Co-Mate is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

Tech & infrastructure

Separate reporting store

PostgreSQL or a cloud warehouse, so analytics never slow down your operational systems.

Incremental refresh

Only changed data is reloaded, keeping dashboards current without long nightly jobs.

Security

Row-level security, single sign-on and audit of who viewed or exported what.

Cloud or on-premise

Hosted in your cloud tenant or on-premise, with the data staying under your control.

Where do we work?

Anywhere. Co-Mate is a remote-first engineering studio in Kerala, India, delivering for businesses worldwide.

  • GCC

Our working day covers the whole GCC business morning and early afternoon.

  • Europe & UK

Strong overlap with European and UK working hours for calls, reviews and releases.

  • US & Americas

Scheduled overlap with US mornings for workshops, demos and decision meetings.

  • India, APAC & Australia

Same or near time zone, so day-to-day collaboration is simple.

Discovery workshops, demos and training run online. You talk directly to the senior engineers who design and build your system, not to an account manager relaying messages.
