This policy explains how Co-Mate ("we", "us") handles personal data when you visit co-mate.tech or contact us. We keep it short because we collect very little.
Who we are
Co-Mate is a software engineering studio based in Kerala, India. For privacy questions, email support@co-mate.tech.
What we collect
- Information you send us: when you use the contact form, the readiness check plan request, email or WhatsApp, we receive what you provide, such as your name, company, email, phone number, country, systems used and your message.
- Readiness check answers: the quiz runs in your browser. Your answers are only sent to us if you choose to send them by form, email or WhatsApp.
- Analytics and usage insights: we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site, through heatmaps and session replays of clicks, scrolling and page navigation. Clarity masks the text you type into form fields, so your name, email and message are not recorded. We also count key actions such as clicking WhatsApp or submitting a form. Clarity only uses cookies after you accept the consent banner; if you decline, it runs without cookies. Microsoft processes this data under its own privacy statement (privacy.microsoft.com).
- Server logs: our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and reliability.
Cookies
We do not set cookies without your permission. When you first visit, a banner asks whether you allow analytics cookies (used by Microsoft Clarity). Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage and you can change it at any time by clearing site data in your browser.
How we use your data
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare proposals you ask for.
- To deliver services under a contract with you.
- To understand, in aggregate, which pages are useful, and improve the site.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Service providers
We use trusted providers to run the site and handle messages, which may include our hosting provider, a form-handling service, our email provider, Web3Forms (which delivers website form submissions to our inbox), Microsoft Clarity (usage analytics) and WhatsApp (Meta) when you message us there. They process data on our behalf or under their own terms when you use their services directly.
International transfers
We are based in India and work with clients in the GCC and elsewhere. Your data may be processed in India and in the countries where our providers operate. We take reasonable steps to protect it wherever it is processed.
How long we keep data
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterwards for follow-up and record keeping. Client project data is handled under the confidentiality terms of each contract and NDA.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act and data protection laws in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent. Email support@co-mate.tech and we will respond promptly.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS with strict security headers. We limit access to enquiry data to the people who need it.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
